Ampersand Studios partnered with multidisciplinary artist, storyteller and creative, Covl, in a pre-celebration of Miami Art Week with her solo-exhibit ‘HOMESICK,’ because what better way to kick off the Art Basel experience than to honor a Miami native whose creations embody the captivating energy of the grassroots hustle and delicate artistry.
In her own words, “’HOMESICK’ is a canvas where vulnerability and strength merge in a dance of colors, urging viewers to reflect on their own stories of resilience.”
We worked with Covl and her team to bring together an experience in Ampersand Studios’ production studio and event space that offered attendees an opportunity to experience her collection, while connecting with the local art community.
While her art was beautifully hung in the white soundstage for guests to walk through and view, we also set up a merch experience, with live music, drinks and moments of connection throughout the space.
We also had the opportunity to learn more about the inspiration behind the HOMESICK show and what we can expect from Covl next.
