This month’s &Miami Member Spotlight features finance, music, and advisory multi-hyphenate, Uri Magen D. Join us in learning more about Uri’s background and how his passion for culture and connection come to life through his business ventures.
So tell us, who are you and what do you do?
My name is Uri Magen D, I am originally from Israel but grew up in Mexico City! But now I am based in Miami, the best city! Finance has always been the route I want to pursue and entertainment has always been my passion.
FINANCE: I founded a strategic finance services company called MD Partners. MD Partners focuses on helping companies grow in a smarter, more efficient, and sustainable way. The companies we serve receive more clarity on their numbers, they gain better insights aiding in correct decision making, and have more conviction on their forward plans and abilities to take risks.
ADVISORY: I am on the advisory board of 3 companies in the Healthcare, Energy, and Hospitality sectors. I help them take their business to the next level. Switching from the more serious side of me to the side that helps me blow off some steam and follow my passion.
MUSIC: I am a songwriter, singer and performer, in the music industry I like to go by MAGEN D!. I have had successful entertainment experiences in the past in Mexico and have met some amazing producers in Miami that have helped me develop truly unique music and style. I started by releasing my singles on spotify and I recently kicked off an exciting new music project, a full album under the name “LUCKY SIETE” which I will be promoting over the next few months. I will also be performing in various venues in Miami, it will be a pleasure to see you there!
What’s something we don’t know about you?
I have lived in Europe, South, Central and North America.
I speak 5 languages.
I played soccer (football) in college and it’s one of my favorite things to do!
What inspires you to get out of bed?
I am just thankful and grateful to be healthy and alive, blessed with family & great friends. My work and aspirations will always excite me to get up and achieve more.
What can’t you live without?
Sports especially soccer, tennis and basketball
Musica!!

Where do your brightest ideas come from?
During a good walk in the pretty streets of Miami in the sun.
Relaxing while drinking my espresso.
Not very common but when I dream! (some good song melodies have come up lol)
How do you spark your creativity when you’re feeling in rut?
Talk to myself, pump myself up.
Take out a blank sheet of paper and start writing.
Just keep going and trust that something good will happen (magia!)
What’s your favorite place to decompress?
Home, chill
Working out helps decompress – gym or running on venetian and hitting sauna.
When do you feel your best?
I feel at my best singing, performing, entertaining people and seeing them dance, laugh and sing, best vibrations I can always sense the energy!
