From launching her first Creator Summit to connecting with peers and growing her platform, Ampersand provides the perfect bridge between her home office and a thriving professional network.
Tell us a little about what you do.
I work with brands to tell creator-powered stories that help them build trust, visibility, and drive business outcomes.
What inspires/motivates you to get out of bed?
I have a hunger for fulfilling my potential as an entrepreneur.
What is the one thing you can’t live without?
My faith and my family; it may be cliché, but as an entrepreneur, I would’ve lost my mind a long time ago if it weren’t for those two things.
Where do your brightest ideas come from?
Silence. It’s wild, but when I’m still and allow my mind to wander, I come up with the best ideas. Then, I just start to visualize and connect the dots.
Where is your favorite place to decompress & unwind?
I am on the advisory board for Centennial Park, so I love going for walks there and enjoy the amazing programming they have throughout the year for the community. And, I love going to the movies, so whether it’s a cinema or my couch, it’s really one of my favorite things to do is watch scripted television or films.
When do you feel your best, and what do you do to stay in the vibration?
I am at my best when the check clears, and the sun is shining on a warm day, when my nails and hair are done, and I’m cruising in a gassed-up clean car, yapping on the phone, closing more deals. I stay in the vibration by tapping in with my peers and supporting their work in this industry.
Tell us something we don’t know about you.
You may not know that I am building a creator platform that focuses on Creator scalability through education and expert matching. We launched our fellowship last year, and our applications for this year are open now.
Do you remember your first day or first impression of the space?
I remember thinking “this is my kind of place” – beautiful but not pretentious, made for people who want to work with some occasional banter between calls.
Are there certain areas of the space you gravitate toward most? Why?
I love the banquettes and anything near the windows. Having a sun-drenched space matters for my quality of work, so the floor-to-ceiling windows really help me stay alert and focused.
Is there a moment at Ampersand that stands out as especially memorable or impactful?
Ampersand has been the home for Represent, my budding startup and creator community. It was at Ampersand that we were able to have our first Creator Summit, where we received a proclamation from Metro government naming Sept 5th Creator Day!
