What’s something we don’t know about you?
Despite being just 22, my journey in social media content creation began at the tender age of 14. In eighth grade, I launched a YouTube channel, investing my heart and soul into creating videos, hopeful for an audience to appreciate them. By the time I graduated from high school, my dream had become a reality, with a following of over a million total followers.
This incredible achievement opened doors for me, landing me a role with the UFC in Las Vegas. I made the bold decision to drop out of college and move across the country to follow my passion. Entrusted with the responsibility of leading social media content creation for an audience exceeding 100 million followers, I not only managed the UFC’s TikTok account (@ufc) but also doubled its following, positioning them as the fastest-growing sports account on the platform. I was also honored with the 2022 MMA Photo of the Year, which was an incredible way to close that two year chapter of my life.
Today, I run my own company, crafting strategic content for prominent brands. My practical camera skills paired with my exhaustive knowledge of content creation drive real engagement and conversion for my clients, showcasing my unwavering commitment and expertise in the field.
What inspires or motivates you to get out of bed?
I wholeheartedly believe I am on this Earth to entertain and inspire. This calling resonates whether I am interacting with people in my local community my followers online who are also navigating the path towards their dreams. The idea of entertaining a massive audience and delivering a positive, inspiring experience that propels them closer to their goals fuels my passion and drive each and every day.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
One word – intention.
I know it’s not a material thing and might not be the typical answer you’d expect, but for me, it’s absolutely indispensable. My recent reflections have made this clear. In my journey through various highs and lows, intention stands out as a crucial element that profoundly impacts my mood, motivation, and energy. It’s the underlying reason I found school work challenging, feeling it didn’t resonate with my personal or professional growth. But give me a project or task with clear intention, showing me how it fits into the bigger picture, and I will embrace it eagerly, contributing my all without a second thought.
Where do your brightest ideas come from?
My brightest ideas originate from a concept I call “filling in the blank.” It’s a unique approach I often share with my clients during consultations. I emphasize to them that for genuine distinction online, others should easily define them as the person or brand that does “____.” If the “blank” is hard to fill, it indicates a need for clearer positioning on social platforms.
Unlike following prevailing trends, my focus veers towards innovation and uniqueness in the social media landscape. I’m driven by the idea of creating something so fresh and groundbreaking that it compels people to say, “Hey, look at what this person did. No one has ever done this before.” This drive motivates me to continually conceptualize and launch unprecedented concepts and series. It’s all about crafting content that not only grabs attention but leaves a lasting impact, making people’s jaws drop with its sheer creativity and novelty.
How do you spark your creativity when you’re feeling in a rut?
One of my go-to ways to rekindle creativity is through music. Playing the guitar and piano allows me to refresh my mind in a way nothing else does, often providing the short break I need to regain my focus.
For brainstorming, I prefer isolation amidst the great outdoors. I choose a different spot each time to avoid the trap of comfort and complacency. Armed with just a notebook and a pen, and with my phone set aside, I dive into a creative realm. This setting allows me to sift through my thoughts, discarding the less promising ones and polishing the gems. This process usually leaves me so invigorated and thrilled about my ideas that I can’t wait to rush home and share them with everyone I know.
Where is your favorite place to decompress & unwind?
My favorite place to relax and reset is the gym, without a doubt. It offers me a place where I can momentarily set work aside, concentrate on different tasks, and rejuvenate my mind. This break often leads to making clearer and more thoughtful decisions.
When do you feel your best, and what do you do to stay in good vibrations?
I feel my absolute best when I sense the momentum propelling me forward, bringing me nearer to my goals. A productive day across various aspects of my life—be it health, wealth, or relationships—gives me a surge of positivity and assurance that I’m on the right path. Observing progress in any of these three crucial areas keeps me happy and inspires me to continually move forward.
Why did you choose Ampersand Studios as your workspace?
I opted for Ampersand Studios as it perfectly aligned with the collective vision of my two friends, Alex and Jack, and myself. We were searching for a space where we could combine our strengths daily and assist each other in the growth of our individual businesses while collaboratively handling substantial projects. Ampersand not only impressed us with its prime location and aesthetic appeal, but also offered the ample space we desired. This environment allows us to work with the shared goal of accelerating our progress through each other’s learnings.
