Hey Nashville, meet Danny Pippin – a multi-hyphenate creative that wears many hats – literally and figuratively. Join us on learning more about Danny and his passions in this month’s &Member Spotlight:
Tell us a little bit about yourself…
I’m a business coach and growth strategist specializing in behavioral analysis and design to help entrepreneurs, business leaders, and organizations optimize their people, operations, and sales strategies through consulting, coaching, and workshops. My approach combines my corporate background experience with time-tested scientifically proven research based principles I’ve learned from working alongside John Maxwell, Patrick Lencioni, Dr. Robert Caildini, and many more. Before this, I spent 18+ years leading over 70 highly profitable brick and mortar retail locations and building leadership and sales teams across the country working with brands like Buckle, PacSun, Lucky Brand, and Billy Reid. In addition to my consulting/coaching business, I’m the co-founder of a go-to-market (GTM) strategic advisory agency, Chief Operating Officer of a fashion technology company, and Creative Director of a lifestyle apparel brand.
What’s something we don’t know about you?
When I was 16 years old, I was in a car wreck where I broke the 11th and 12 vertebrae and had to crawl a quarter mile to get help. I had to have spinal fusion surgery and have two rods, two clamps, and a screw in my back. I like to tell people the metal is Adamantium to see if they get the reference.
What inspires or motivates you to get out of bed?
Love. Cheesy? Maybe, but I love what I do and the people I get to work with. I get to meet some really great people and help them solve problems.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
Hope. One of my mentors says “Where there is no hope in the future, there is no power in the present.”
Where do your brightest ideas come from?
Usually other people. I lead and facilitate a lot of masterminds and I’ve found my best thinking comes from other people.
How do you spark your creativity when you’re feeling in a rut?
I’ve found that success leaves clues, so I seek out those that have already figured it out, and try to model what they are doing.
Where is your favorite place to decompress & unwind?
The movie theater. Recliner seats, popcorn, Twizzlers, and Reese’s Pieces…that’s how it’s done.
When do you feel your best, and what do you do to stay in good vibrations?
I feel my best when I’ve helped someone have a breakthrough, realize their potential, and overcome a challenge that has kept them in a state of stuck, frustration, and lack of clarity. To stay in good vibrations, I just try to help as many people as I can. It’s hard to feel bad about yourself when you’re doing something good for someone else.
Why did you choose Ampersand Studios as your workspace?
There are 3 primary reasons: 1. The Aesthetic. It’s beautiful and I love the vibe. 2. The people. Upon my first visit I ran into people I knew that also worked out of the space and the Ampersand team was super nice and friendly. 3. The Creator Studio. Leading a lifestyle apparel brand we need a place to constantly shoot content.
And lastly, how can our community stay connected with you?
