Who are you and what do you do?
I’m Joanne, a Clinical Hypnotherapist and wellness innovator. I create transformative experiences—from private hypnotherapy sessions to group programs, workshops, and retreats—that help people reset, heal, and thrive. I also integrate wellness technology like the Bioscan 360 to give clients deeper insights into their health and longevity. At my core, I have a deep love for community—bringing people together, creating lasting relationships, and eradicating loneliness by fostering genuine connection.
What’s something we don’t know about you?
Before stepping fully into wellness, I was a bespoke wedding dress designer in London, working with celebrities and even featured in a five-page spread in Hello! magazine. My designs appeared in Paris editorials and across leading European fashion cities. Today, I weave that same artistry and eye for transformation into my healing work, blending science, soul, and creativity.
What inspires or motivates you to get out of bed?
Knowing that I can help someone shift their mindset, release old patterns, and step into a freer version of themselves. Over the years, I’ve supported more than 50,000 clients—including celebrities, first responders, high-powered lawyers, and everyday people—through breakthroughs ranging from overcoming addiction, ptsd, to manifesting love, or even starting brand new careers. Witnessing that kind of transformation lights me up every day; it’s my calling. Also, being able to successfully support and bring up a child with neurodiversity on my own, completely far away from family, and give him the vision to be able to do the same with confidence and purpose. Stepping into my greatness and pathing the way for my son and generations to come.
What is one thing you can’t live without?
My voice—it’s my most powerful tool. With my soft English accent, I guide people into deep states of healing, helping them feel safe, secure, and open to change as I lead them through pathways of transformation.
Where do your brightest ideas come from?
They arrive through daydreams, flashes of vision, or even guided voices in my head. My ADHD and dyslexia fuel a unique, imaginative way of thinking—a kind of neurodiverse creativity that allows me to see possibilities others might miss.
How do you spark your creativity when you’re feeling in a rut?
Even in a rut, creativity never leaves me. It ebbs and flows—sometimes quiet, sometimes overflowing. I can go from having scattered ideas to building an entire business concept, logo, and website in just a week. That surge is part of my process, and I embrace it.
Where is your favorite place to decompress & unwind?
My garden is my sanctuary—I love propagating plants, growing seeds and cuttings, and nurturing a space cultivated with love. I also unwind by swimming early in the morning, walking by the Bay at sunset, watching the sunrise, or spending time at the beach.
When do you feel your best, and what do you do to stay in good vibrations?
I feel my best when I’m holding space for others, whether in a one-on-one session or at an event, and watching their transformation unfold. To stay in high vibrations, I lean on movement, self-hypnosis, nature, creativity, and surrounding myself with uplifting people. Group exercise with my Fitfam, salsa dancing, and engaging with social groups also keep me energized and connected. At the heart of it all, I thrive on building meaningful, lasting connections—oxytocin, the “connection” chemical, is my favorite kind of fuel.
Why did you choose Ampersand Studios as your workspace?
I was drawn to the creative, collaborative energy of Ampersand. It’s a place where entrepreneurs, innovators, and wellness leaders thrive together. On a personal note, one of the owners is also from England, like me, and with my family’s background in interior design and bespoke furniture, I was immediately at home. The Chesterfield chairs, paneled walls, and elegant wallpaper give the space a distinctly English charm that resonates deeply with me.
