NITE OWL: THE DRIVE IN LIST WE LOVE.

Your viewing pleasure.

It’s no secret that we love movies. Remember the days when looking through the newspaper, or calling into movie phone to find out when the next summer blockbuster was coming out? Oh, the days of slower pace and anticipation. We appreciate spaces like NITE OWL DRIVE-IN, nostalgia and all.  Below are some films we’re really looking forward to seeing.

Jul 16: Waterworld (1995)

In a dystopian future, where the polar ice-caps have melted and Earth is almost entirely submerged, a mutated mariner searches for dry land, love and some sense of sanity.

Jul 18: One Crazy Summer (1986)

An aspiring teenage cartoonist and his friends come to the aid of a singer trying to save her family property from developers. We like the interplay between the geek and the beauty narrative. We’ve all felt some way about a story like this.

Jul 18: Close Encounters of the third king (1977)

Steven Spielberg’s work has become a cult classic. In this 1977 SciFi thriller Roy Neary, an electric lineman watches how his quiet and ordinary daily life turns upside down after a close encounter with a UFO.
